At JB Tool, Die & Engineering, Inc. we have the ability to produce dies with extremely close tolerance patterns. This die block project for a customer in the automotive industry required these skills. Using our wire EDM capabilities, we produced the die blocks from 1-1/4" thick A2 and D2 tool steels, following the specifications set by the customer. We worked to tolerances of ±.0001" and produced a variety of die blocks. As a finish we applied titanium nitride to harden and protect the surface of the die blocks. After inspecting the components for any flaws, we performed testing to verify that they met the required standards.
